How I got here
I've spent 11+ years designing kitchens and interiors in Hawke's Bay, and the thing I kept seeing was the same problem: beautiful kitchens that didn't work. Gorgeous benchtops with no thought for where the lunchboxes go. Open-plan living rooms that looked stunning in the render but felt chaotic by Wednesday morning.
That's when I developed what I call the joinery-first approach — starting with how a family actually moves through their home, and designing the cabinetry, storage, and layout around that reality, before anything decorative gets decided.
The result? Spaces that are calm to be in. That feel like you. That make a mundane Tuesday mornings easier, not harder.
